Wine Buy Bob’s process is unique because he’s a public speaker and teacher… not a wine representative and not a caterer. Bob does not work for a distributor or retail outlet. His only objective is to please you and your guests. Entertaining and enligtening, WIne Guy Bob brings an entertaining flair to every party, focusing exclusively on making the event fun!
- Wine Guy Bob does not provide catering services or supplies (glassware, utensils, ice, serving equipment). He will, of course, be happy to help or work with your catering firm.
- Wine Guy Bob does not sell wine. He will specify a wine list for purchase at a local retail store. He will also be happy to pick up your wine and deliver it to the event with a receipt for simple reimbursement. There is no markup beyond retail, and Bob has purchasing power that allows for a deeper retail discount, saving you money.
- Most tastings feature five or six samplings based on your expectations. Bob will create a theme and set a budget with you to assure that you are satisfied with both the quality of the wine and the price. At the event he covers details about the specfic wines, but also includes the basics, answering any questions.
- Wine Guy Bob events are never stuffy or pretentious. Wine should be fun, and he keeps things light and entertaining. There will be lots of smiles and laughter!
PRICING AS FOLLOWS:
- The retail cost of the wine (minimum average per bottle retail price $25 plus tax).
- Bob’s fee. The average event requires 2.5 hours at location
- 10 – 50 guests: $200 per hour, plus travel at $100 per hour round trip
- 51 – 100 guests: $300 per hour, plus travel at $100 per hour round trip
- 101- 200 guests: $400 per hour, plus travel at $100 per hour round trip
- 201 + guests – subject to negotiation
- Travel in excess of 2 hours requires local hotel overnight at $250.
