About Bob

Bob combines senior hotel/restaurant experience with superb wine knowledge, and an engaging personality, becoming the perfect wine tasting host.

His career includes roles as VP/General Manager at Sheraton City Centre, Washington, DC, DoubleTree Hotel at the Pentagon, Radisson Resort Scottsdale, AZ, DoubleTree Hotel & Executive Center, NJ, Snowbowl Ski Resort, Flagstaff, AZ, and the renowned Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank, NJ. 

Bob hosted Presidents Reagan and Clinton, VP’s Mondale, Bush and Gore, political leaders, movie stars, athletes, entertainers and corporate executives.  Later, as Founder/CEO of Monica Hospitality Solutions in the Columbus, OH area he was owner and proprietor of a glamorous wine store, bar & bistro in the Muirfield community as well as the Bexley Monk Restaurant.   

After “retiring” to Florida, Bob launched his latest venture creating Wine Guy Bob, an alter ego speaker providing wine education tasting events without pretense ot snobbery.  His relaxed, engaging approach, coupled with his clever wit, has made him one of Florida’s most popular featured speakers.

Today he hosts lively wine “happenings” throughout the state, including some of Florida’s largest and most prestigious communities (The Villages, On Top of the World, Solivita).   His unique talent for combining a education with humor and entertainment are his personal signature.  Attendees often leave saying, “This wasn’t just a class… it was a party!”
